Now you need no more to be in Taiping to have this Fried Kuey Teow by Restoran Doli. Restoran Doli has recently opened their new branch at Kuala Lumpur. Located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, this branch offer similar set up with the Taiping branch. Only price are different since the owner claim higher running cost at Kuala Lumpur.

Last month wifey and I went to this restaurant only to found out that Restoran Doli closed on Friday. Here we are today to taste the famous Fried Kuey Teow. Besides, they also offer "mee bandung", "mee sup" and chicken rice. Price wise expect higher that other restaurant. Maybe because Restoran Doli situated at TTDI.

Food just okay! Nothing special for us to come back. Bit disappointed since we hope that Restoran Doli could maintain taste as Taiping branch. "Mee bandung" gravy a bit less in taste and watery. Only the Ice Tea tasted good said wifey! To the owner, its time for you to braised up and improve the taste and quality.

Later we will visit Mali's Char Kuey Teow @ Danau Kota for comparison. Wait for the entry...

Lets see the place!

The counter

Special Fried Kuey Teow (Rm 10)

"Mee Bandung" Rm 5.50

Ice Tea (Rm 2)

Service: Okay. Need to improve.

Cleanliness: Good.

P/S:

*So sorry for the poor quality images. DSLR battery ran out.

* Very slow service since fried kuey teow is cook per plate and using charcoal heat.

*During peak hour can take up to 40 minutes for fried kuey teow to be ready.

*A bit high side on price. Rm 10 for special fried kuey teow?

*Special fried kuey teow should be something "special" in it. Only found cockles and few shrimps NOT PRAWN. Does not represent special and justify the extra Rm4.50 compared to the normal fried kuey teow.

*Price is not standardize with the Taiping branch.

*Taste also not up to Taiping branch.

*Other place will value your money more.

Pappa Rich Putra Walk - Equine Park

PappaRich was established in 2006 with the opening of its first PappaKopitiam in Selayang Mall. PappaRich is PappaKopitiam all grown up; today it has over 43 outlets in the Klang Valley, Northern & South region under the brand of PappaRich and is beginning to emerge as a formidable player in the local food and beverage chain.

The popularity of its cafe is attributed largely to the introduction of food which are all-time favourites such as freshly-baked bread and buns, the traditional toast with kaya and butter, nasi lemak, fried kuey teow, curry laksa, asam laksa, chicken rice, prawn mee, cendul, ice kacang etc, all available at affordable prices and prepared with the freshest ingredients and in its original flavour and taste.

Its Sunday morning! Whats better could be your breakfast besides tasty nasik lemak. We arrived at the place around 10.30 aM. Most of the seats occupied. Workers are struggling to clean up the table and serve customers.

Like any other kopitiam, you will right your order yourself and hand the piece of paper to the server. Dining environment is very nice. You will feel calm and soothing.
