Singapore City

As I shared earlier, this was part of myself and wifey seven days trip to Singapore.

On 19 June 2010 (Saturday) we decided to conquer the Singapore city.

We are not so lucky as major road in the city was closed down due to rehearsal for Singapore's Independent Day. Major landmark are not accessible by car (taxi), so we need to walk on foot from one point to other.

Here some of the pictures:

Esplanade, Singapore

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

*The Sky Park will only open to public on the next Thursday with S$15 entrance fee. This is my last day here.

The Lion!

P/S: This was the week that Orchard Road hit by flood. Lots of floating branded shoes!

Wifey and I visited this Universal Studios Singapore (USS) on Sentosa Island - Singapore.

Enchanted Airway -part of Far Far Away

The Lost World

Divided into two themed areas: Jurassic Park and WaterWorld, this zone is for fans of the two blockbuster movies, as they can experience a dense tropical forest where dinosaurs lurk, then watch death defying stunts filled with thrills and spills!

WaterWorld! Must get "SOAK WET AREA" to true experience the adventure!

Jurassic Park!

Ancient Egypt

Ancient pyramids and obelisks stand fast against the sands of time as you are transported to 1930’s Egypt, the Golden Age of Egyptian Exploration. Travel to an era when entire Pharaohs tombs were discovered- and their terrible curses unleashed.

We skipped the ride, as the hangover from the Enchanted Airways was still bad.

New-York City

Feel the spirit and energy of America’s biggest and grandest city as you stroll along the sidewalks and enjoy all the classic landmarks. Soak in the impressive city skylines, neon lights, and facades that set the scenes for big city fun and real-time movie production.
Light, Camera, Action by Steven Speilberg SUPERB!

Hollywood

Step onto Hollywood Boulevard framed by dynamic architecture, palm trees and the famous Walk of Fame, you will feel as if you have landed in the center of the entertainment universe.

Sci-Fi City was closed that day!

Madagascar

Based on the hit DreamWorks Animation film, Madagascar, this zone brings you to a dense tropical jungle, filled with strange and wonderful animals like lemurs and foosas. Bird calls and monkey screeches fill the air as you journey deeper into the equatorial rain forests of this African Island.
*Sadly all pictures features personal images. Nothing to be posted here.
Dining: Just so-so. Nothing stand out to be share. But must try Garrett PoPCorn! Caramel Crisp flavor is the best! Outlet is accessible without entry pass to the park!
P/S:
A nice place to go with your family. Express pass strongly encourage as you could be in line for more that two hours just to experience one particular place.
Its a safe bet to purchase your ticket online earlier. The ticket was sold out 4 days before the date. However, hotel conceirge might be able to help you. Possible to obtain s$10 discount OR a free bus ride from your hotel to Sentosa Island. (subject to certain schedule).

Malacca & Johor

Asam Pedas Selera Kampung

Malacca best known with the asam pedas. "Asam Pedas Selera Kampung" is one of the best restaurant to serve asam pedas in Malacca located near to Dataran Pahlawan. Beside this restaurant, recommended "Asam Pedas Hajjah Mona" situated at Taman Kota Laksamana.

Offers varieties of food. Must try the spicey fried crab! Crab will cost you about Rm10 - Rm12. Asam Pedas Pari will cost your Rm 4 - Rm6 per piece moderate size.

River Cruise

The river was the main artery of trade for Melaka in its heyday when it was bustling with traders from all around the world.

Some buildings from that era still stand majestically by the river, which is also lined by old villages, or kampungs, and modern day buildings.

The 45-minute cruise is accompanied by an entertaining and informative commentary.

Night time will be better as this boat travel through the "kampung" area that decorated with light and you could enjoy the scenery.

10aM - 10pM

Entrance Fee:
Adult: Rm 10
Children: Rm 5

Emperor Hotel Melaka

Situated in the heart of Melaka, The Emperor Hotel Malacca is in the midst of popular shopping centres & entertainment spots. It is within a very short walking distance to major sightseeing and historical attractions of Malacca and close to the historical city's commercial hub.

Being the tallest building in Malacca, it commands a beautiful view of the Straits of Malacca and the city. It is easily accessible via the North-South highway that stretches from Johor Bahru - Singapore in the South to way up North - Kuala Lumpur.

Hotel wise, as you enter the hotel. You will feel like transported back to 90's era. All decoration and furniture are from that time. We booked for Deluxe room with breakfast. How lucky we are, we were put on the corner unit of 16th floor. Corner unit offer more spacious space with extra large bathroom.

The Dining

On the night of arrival, we tried the cafe for dinner. Ordered one lamb chop and fried kuey teow. Food taste just okay. No other guest during our dinner for the whole one hour. As for the breakfast, it was held at the coffee house. Like always, its a breakfast buffet and food are very very limited.
