Getting to Alor Gajah from Malacca a bit delay since the heavy rain makes almost all way out from Malacca city jammed. Located at Pasar Menggong food court, this place is near to Alor Gajah roundabout and Alor Gajah bus station. Parking could be a bit difficult on peak hours. Customer do came from as far as Kuala Lumpur just to taste this fluffy cucur udang. Personally, you need to taste it for yourself. Trip from Kuala Lumpur will be worth every penny to visit this stall.

Malacca now is pushing into tourism industry. What more to do if you visit Malacca other than visiting all tourist attraction site. Not to missed is Malacca Zoo. Though it not as famous as Taiping Zoo or National Zoo, visit to Malacca Zoo is not a waste of time at all.

Entrance fee is much cheap to be compared to National Zoo and Taiping Zoo (Rm 15 Adult). Just the fee for bringing in video camera looks much ridiculous! From the website, stated that tram service is free. Actual visit shows different story. Every adult will be charge Rm2 for tram ride. You can see that the zoo is poorly maintain. Maybe due to lack of fund. If Malacca really into pushing tourism industry, this should not be overlook. Parking will be charge at Rm 2 per entry as you enter the area.

From the website, it mentioned about the night safari. A visit there does not show any indication of night safari. I believe it has been shut down since the website has not been update for quite sometimes.

Lets see the place!

River Cruise

The river was the main artery of trade for Melaka in its heyday when it was bustling with traders from all around the world.

Some buildings from that era still stand majestically by the river, which is also lined by old villages, or kampungs, and modern day buildings.

The 45-minute cruise is accompanied by an entertaining and informative commentary.

Night time will be better as this boat travel through the "kampung" area that decorated with light and you could enjoy the scenery.

Operating Hours:
10aM - 10pM

Adult: Rm 10
Children: Rm 5

Emperor Hotel Melaka

Situated in the heart of Melaka, The Emperor Hotel Malacca is in the midst of popular shopping centres & entertainment spots. It is within a very short walking distance to major sightseeing and historical attractions of Malacca and close to the historical city's commercial hub.

Being the tallest building in Malacca, it commands a beautiful view of the Straits of Malacca and the city. It is easily accessible via the North-South highway that stretches from Johor Bahru - Singapore in the South to way up North - Kuala Lumpur.

Hotel wise, as you enter the hotel. You will feel like transported back to 90's era. All decoration and furniture are from that time. We booked for Deluxe room with breakfast. How lucky we are, we were put on the corner unit of 16th floor. Corner unit offer more spacious space with extra large bathroom.

The Dining

On the night of arrival, we tried the cafe for dinner. Ordered one lamb chop and fried kuey teow. Food taste just okay. No other guest during our dinner for the whole one hour. As for the breakfast, it was held at the coffee house. Like always, its a breakfast buffet and food are very very limited.
